Will KöR whiten my crowns or veneers?
No, whitening only works on natural teeth. If you have a crown or veneer that no longer matches your newly whitened teeth, we can plan to replace it after the whitening is complete so everything matches.
How white will my teeth get?
Most patients see a change of several shades. Some patients go many shades lighter, especially if they had a lot of yellowing to start. We give you a realistic expectation at the consultation based on your starting point.
Does whitening damage enamel?
When done correctly with custom trays and professional grade gel, whitening does not damage enamel. Most studies show no harmful effect on tooth structure. The main risk is irritation if gel touches the gums for too long, which the custom trays prevent.
Can I whiten if I have sensitive teeth?
Often yes. We may recommend a slower pace, a sensitivity toothpaste, or shorter wear times during the home phase. Tell us about your sensitivity at the consultation and we will customize the plan.
How is KöR different from in office laser whitening?
Laser or light activated whitening gives a quick, noticeable result in a single visit. KöR combines a home phase with an in office session for a deeper, longer lasting result. Both have a place. We will help you choose the one that fits your goals.
